Institutional training-provider packages for US watchmaking schools and UK jewellery, horology and watch-repair academies. Each package gives instructors a consistent, identifiable tool system for practical teaching, student issue, care instruction, replacement management and repeat ordering.
Available configurations: 5-student, 10-student and 20-student packages. Final tool patterns, materials, branding, pricing and delivery schedule are confirmed by quotation and approved sample.
| Package | Intended use | Included institutional support |
|---|---|---|
| 5-Student Package | Small classes, specialist workshops, instructor-led trials and curriculum evaluation. | Five numbered student sets, protective cases, care cards, instructor reference sample, replacement-tip code record and private-label options. |
| 10-Student Package | Regular academy cohorts and practical bench-based modules. | Ten numbered student sets, protective cases, care cards, instructor reference sample, replacement-tip code record and private-label options. |
| 20-Student Package | Larger cohorts, multi-bench classrooms and annual training-program procurement. | Twenty numbered student sets, protective cases, care cards, instructor reference sample, replacement-tip code record and private-label options. |
Build the student set around the curriculum rather than a fixed, unverified assortment. Candidate tools can include watchmaker patterns, jewellery and stone-handling patterns, anti-magnetic configurations, solid-titanium tools, locking tweezers and replaceable controlled-contact-tip tools. The approved quotation records the exact model, body substrate, coating, contact-tip material and replacement code for every included tool.
Material clarity: solid titanium and titanium-coated stainless steel are documented as different constructions. A solid-titanium tool uses titanium through its body and working tips. A titanium-coated tool uses a stainless-steel substrate with a titanium-based surface coating and is not described as solid titanium.
Choose candidate tools by the component and permitted contact area, then approve the exact model against representative non-critical parts. The task group is a selection aid, not a universal suitability claim.
| Workshop task | Candidate tool types | Approval focus |
|---|---|---|
| Movement Parts | AA, No. 3 and No. 5 anti-magnetic patterns; fine-point models | Access, pickup, alignment, closing force, magnetic-response status and approved contact zones for screws, pins and other specified movement components. |
| Hands & Dials | Fine-point and replaceable controlled-contact-tip models | Contact footprint, cleanliness, applied force, visible marking and controlled release. Approval is required for the exact hand or dial finish. |
| Cases & Bracelets | AA/general handling, locking or robust-grip configurations | Grip security, access, leverage limits and permitted contact areas on specified case and bracelet components. |
| Gemstones | Locking stone tweezers and application-specific contact-tip models | Stone shape, setting access, holding force, rotation control and approved contact location. No universal gemstone compatibility is implied. |
| Soldering | Reverse-action or cross-lock configurations selected for the stated process | Holding geometry, temperature exposure, material/coating limits and joint access. Heat suitability must be confirmed for the exact model. |
| Delicate Finished Surfaces | Replaceable controlled-contact-tip models; approved solid-titanium or alternative-contact candidates | Surface-marking test, tip material, contact footprint, cleanliness and maximum approved handling force. “Non-marring” is not treated as a blanket claim. |
Every model supplied in an approved academy package must have its own specification record. Values are published only after the physical sample is measured and tested; pattern names, appearance and catalogue descriptions are not used as substitutes for evidence.
| Required model field | Publication rule |
|---|---|
| Tip geometry | Record measured contact width, thickness, point/face form, angle where applicable and the measurement method. Current configurable models: pending approved-sample measurement. |
| Tension / closing force | Record the measured force at a stated opening and grip position, with units and method. Current configurable models: pending approved-sample measurement. |
| Material | Record body substrate, coating and replaceable contact-tip material separately. Solid titanium must remain distinct from titanium-coated stainless steel. Exact grades: pending model-specific material confirmation. |
| Magnetic-test status | Publish test method, result, date or batch/sample reference. Use Not tested where no verified result exists; never infer status from the pattern name. Current configurable models: not yet tested/recorded on this page. |
| Approved contact application | Name the exact component, surface/contact zone and acceptance criteria demonstrated during sample approval. Current configurable models: pending academy application trial. |
Release control: a model is not represented as measured, anti-magnetic, non-marring or approved for a contact application until its completed specification and test record is linked to the approved sample ID.
Suitable for bench-skills programs, watch-service instruction, continuing education and controlled student tool issue. Numbering can follow class, bench or student records. Quotations can document US delivery, academy branding, repeat-cohort requirements and replacement-tip replenishment.
Suitable for jewellery-making, stone-handling, horology and watch-repair instruction. Package records can use UK English labeling, academy identity, cohort numbering and agreed care guidance for the approved materials and applications.
Available options include laser-marked academy logos, sequential tool numbers, distributor or school model codes, branded cases, care cards, technical inserts and replacement-tip reference sheets. Pilot quantities, annual cohorts and repeat-order packaging can be planned after sample approval.
