How Lash Academies Specify Student Tweezer Kits
A training academy needs repeatable student tools, not just a low per-piece price. The best purchasing specification identifies the techniques taught, the number of students, the approved tweezer models and the process for replacing damaged or misaligned tools.
Start with the course syllabus
For classic isolation and application, a two-tool starter kit may be sufficient. Hybrid, volume and advanced training can add curved, 45°, 90° or boot-style tools. Select each shape against the academy's teaching method rather than assuming every student needs the same large kit.
Example kit structure
| Course level | Candidate tools | Training purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Foundation | Straight isolation + curved application | Separation and classic placement |
| Intermediate | Foundation pair + angled volume | Hybrid and controlled fan pickup |
| Advanced | Isolation + 45° + 90° or boot | Compare techniques and working sweet spots |
These are planning examples; actual kit contents require academy approval and available stock confirmation.
Specify texture and tension
Where fiber-tip options are required, record the verified inner-tip texture for each model. Test spring tension and alignment using a documented sample method. Instructors should evaluate handling across representative lash fibers and provide structured feedback before bulk approval.
Plan 5-, 10- and 20-student cohorts
Calculate one approved kit per student, plus a separately agreed instructor set and spare-tool allowance. Label each pouch or case with its kit code and contents. Include cleaning and safe storage instructions appropriate to the materials and finish.
Approval and replenishment
Approve reference samples, then confirm finish colors, logo placement, protective packaging, quantity, lead time, shipping terms and replacement SKU mapping. Keep batch-level QC notes so instructors can identify recurring problems without confusing model variation with student technique.
