45° Electronics Tweezers
Work around nearby components while keeping the pickup point in view. TWEEZER WORLD® 45° electronics tweezers are angled precision tools for placing, retrieving and inspecting small parts in electronics repair and assembly. Browse the products in this collection to compare tip geometry, gripping surface, material, finish and closure feel. For other tool shapes, see our Electronics Repair Tweezers and wider Precision Tweezers collections.
What does a 45° angled tip do?
A bend near the working end lets the operator approach a part from above or from the side without positioning the fingers directly over it. This can improve visibility when handling SMD parts, small screws, leads and wires on a crowded workbench. The angle alone does not determine performance: the tip contact area must still suit the component, and both arms must close in alignment without excessive force.
-
Clearer line of sight: work around adjacent parts and inspect the pickup point.
-
Access to tight layouts: approach recessed locations where a straight tip is awkward.
-
Controlled placement: choose fine, flat or paddle contact faces for the actual component dimensions.
-
Choice of gripping action: standard and reverse-action models serve different holding needs when available.

| Fine pointed |
Small screws, wires and detailed pickup |
Point alignment, spring tension and component fragility |
| Flat or paddle positioning |
Parts that benefit from a broader, smoother contact area |
Tip width, thickness, surface finish and gripping pressure |
| Grooved or shaped |
Specified round parts or package profiles |
Groove dimensions against the actual part drawing |
| Reverse action |
Holding a part without continuous squeeze pressure |
Default holding force, opening gap and work clearance |
These are selection categories, not a promise that every style is stocked. Check each listed SKU's actual photos and measurements. Do not use an ultra-fine point as a prying or bending tool.
Applications for 45° electronics tweezers
PCB repair and inspection
Position small items in a crowded board area, retrieve loose hardware and inspect placement with a better view of the contact point. Work on a powered circuit requires the appropriate process and tools; an angled metal tweezer is not an electrical-insulation device.
SMD and SMT component handling
When placing resistors, capacitors or small packages, choose a jaw shape that supports the component without excessive squeeze pressure. A fine point may suit very small parts, while a wider positioning tip can provide a more stable contact area for a larger body. Compare the tip width and opening with the component's drawing and test the tool on samples.
Mobile phone and device repair
An angled tip can reach screws, connectors and nearby hardware while leaving room for inspection. Check the tip finish where scratching is a concern and select the gripping surface for the actual part. See mobile, PCB and computer repair tweezers for further options.
ESD claims require model-specific evidence
45° describes tip geometry; it does not mean ESD-safe. Stainless steel, black coating and antimagnetic behavior are separate properties and do not establish a tweezer's electrical performance. If the work involves electrostatic-discharge-sensitive devices, use a documented model within your facility's approved ESD control program. Request the applicable electrical test data for the exact SKU and batch where your purchasing procedure requires it. Explore Anti-Static Tweezers to compare models presented for controlled handling, and verify their supporting data before procurement.
Specifications to request for professional procurement
For repeatable evaluation, ask for overall length, measured bend angle, working tip length, tip width and thickness, opening gap, tip contact style, material grade, finish, weight, spring tension, magnetic behavior and inspection criteria. Record any coating or electrical test method and result for the specific model rather than assuming every finish shares the same properties. For sensitive surfaces, ask whether a suitable non-marring contact option exists and test it on representative parts.

Frequently asked questions
Are 45° electronics tweezers good for SMD components?
They can help with visibility and access, provided the contact style and tip dimensions match the component. Test a sample on representative parts before specifying a bulk order.
Are all angled electronics tweezers ESD-safe?
No. Tip angle and electrical performance are independent. Check exact-model documentation and use the tweezer within your approved ESD handling process.
Should I choose pointed or paddle tips?
Pointed tips give access to a small contact area; paddle tips provide broader support. Select by component shape, clearance and sensitivity to pressure or marks.
Can I order 45° electronics tweezers with my branding?
Yes, ask about OEM and private-label options for the selected model. Logo, finish, protective packaging and quantities are confirmed against the approved specification.
