Lash Academy Replacement Tool Planning: Forecasting, Codes and Instructor Approval
An academy kit is easier to manage when every tool can be replaced without buying the complete set again. Replacement planning should begin before the first intake, using permanent model codes, approved samples and a forecast based on class size and actual loss or damage.
Define the teaching kit
List the exact isolation, classic, volume or specialty tools included in each kit. Assign a permanent academy code to every tool and packaging slot. Color alone is not a reliable identifier because finishes can change.
Obtain instructor approval
Give the lead instructor coded samples. Record the intended exercise, preferred tension comparison, tip profile, closure, finish and comfort observations. Retain an approved instructor sample for future comparison.
Create a replacement policy
Decide whether replacements are included, sold individually or supplied in replenishment packs. State how a student reports a lost, damaged or misaligned tool and who authorizes replacement.
Forecast demand
Begin with student count, courses per year, tools per kit and a conservative spare percentage. Track actual replacements by code and reason after each class. Use the history to adjust the next order.
Recommended stock categories
- Instructor reference samples
- New-student complete kits
- Isolation-tool replacements
- Volume-tool replacements
- Emergency classroom spares
- Cases, care cards and labels
- Quarantined tools awaiting inspection
Protect code continuity
A replacement code should remain stable even when the marketing title changes. If geometry, substrate, coating, tension or tip technology changes, issue a revised code and obtain approval again.
Control private-label details
Approve logo size, position, color, numbering method, case layout and care-card artwork. Record whether the number identifies the kit, the individual tool or both.
Review each term
Compare forecast with issued replacements, reasons for failure and frequently requested models. The purpose is to preserve teaching consistency and prevent unverified substitutions.
